Teriyaki Chicken
As you know, I am all about quick, easy, tasty and healthy!
I really enjoy making something from scratch that turns out well!
This recipe can be used on chicken, fish, tofu or whatever protein gets your mouth watering!
It goes really well with some dark green veges and a serving of rice
Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
700 grams chicken breast
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1- 2 tablespoon finely chopped/grated ginger (we love fresh ginger!)
1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced (don’t add if following FODMAPS diet)
1/4 cup tamari sauce, or coconut aminos
1/4 cup sake
1/4 cup mirin or rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
salt and pepper, to taste
METHOD
Chop chicken breast into chicken tenders or bite sized square pieces
Combine all other ingredients into bowl and stir
Add raw chicken until well coated
It works well to leave it sit for 15 - 30 minutes in fridge, but not necessary
Pour into fry pan and cook for 5 - 10 minutes, turning chicken until cooked through
Serve with some rice, green veges and top with a sprinkling of sesame seeds
